Sometimes you go home, but not really
Mar. 30th, 2013 10:32 amMy hometown is a small town, its get a few lines in the Lonely Planet guide book. It have lost much of it's former industries from my childhood, gained a few new ones, but not really a place in growth.
When I was home in the Christmas I took walk from my old home and walked into the center and back, i would guess the trip would take me about 40 to 50 min. if I was without a camera.

Not my old home as such, but in the neighborhood.
1.

The local tennis court, I never have played tennis there or anywhere else
2.

Fitness centers, seems to me, that there are as many them, as the burger chains restaurants, this lays 100 meters away from a Mac Donald.
3:

the road to my old school.
4.

Part of what is left of ships diesel engines manufacturing. I remember that smell in the air sometimes, when they were casting the big engines. Cleaned up and downsized, progress of a sort.
5.

6.

A park laying right up of the local high school.
7.

The library used it a lot.
8.

The car free center street. It was the 26. December so every shop was closed.
9.

Two restaurants sort of and a hotel. The ferries brings still some tourist from Norway and Sweden, but it's fraction of what it was before EU rules stopped the tax free shopping on the ferries.
10.

A church, who can't find out which style it's.
11.

Internationalization.
12.

13.

Public elderly housing for fragilely elders.
14.

I don't get texting.
15.

This housing area had a not so good reputation. I could my self never see why.
