Contrite Spirits by Lizbeth Marcs
Author summary: Faith and Xander are waiting for a newly discovered
Slayer at the Basilica of Ste-Anne-de-Beaupre and find answers to
questions they were afraid to ask.

This one of these stories, where you can not tell too much about it,
without spoiling the story for the next reader. But I think can I
say, that is about Faith and faith. Xander and the absence of faith
and African Gods.
The writer have faith in the reader intelligence, and the story
develops in subtle way, that does recognize the reader ability to
read in-between the lines. There were at the start of the story,
where I as a reader, thought I could see the story "sucker punch"
telegraphed ahead, and then I got hit from behind of a dastardly plot
twist.
With plots for at least three stories, guilt and priests of the
Redemptionist order, did I find it very enjoyable and satisfying read.
