Mad Men and YAP

Have just the first couple episodes of Mad Men. And it's entertaining with great scenery. At this point, it feels like the show wants to be subtle, show don't tall and all that, but it really show to much to be really subtle. The characters behavior/culture sexism etc. are hard for me, to really believe are representative for that time and place. It could be but I don't have enough knowledge to judge that, as it in another country/culture? and was before I was born.
Will keep watching as it entertaining.
